Large power Transformers
The range of Large Power Transformers includes: Step-Up Generator Transformers for electrical energy production plants, high voltage Grid Interconnection Transformers that Getra can provide up to 800MVA and 800kV class and Autotransformers.
The generation is usually located far from the load distribution area, therefore, for the optimization of the transmission process it is necessary to adjust the output current and voltage of the generator; for this reason in most of the power plants the output of the generator is directly connected to a step-up transformer.
Generator Step-Up Transformers (GSUT) are therefore an essential component of all power plants, since, regardless of the source, whether conventional or renewable, they connect the generation system to the transmission grid.
These are machines with a high voltage and power level for which design and production are required: experience and high capacity production and testing equipment; which is why Getra continuously invests in software development and manufacturing facilities.
Technical features of the product
- Voltage: up to 800kV
- Power: up to 900MVA
- Three-phase and single-phase units
Grid Transformers usually required for interconnection of transmission and/or high voltage distribution networks. They cover the same sector of autotransformers and are used where separate winding full transformer is required.
Technical features of the product
- Voltage: up to 800kV
- Power: up to 900MVA
Autotransformers represent the most common interconnection between high voltage systems in order to exchange power among them. In autotransformers the primary and secondary windings are not separated but have a part in common.
The Getra Group is a key supplier of major utilities of highly inter-linked networks which have often standardized specification for their interconnection autotransformers. The company is able to realize units to handle all specific requirements of each individual network, as well as site’s physical constraints.
The reliability of the autotransformers is guaranteed by several dynamic short circuit withstand tests carried out at independent laboratories such as Cesi and Kema and successfully passed on autotransformers up to 600MVA and 420kV voltage level.
Getra is also one of the first transformer manufacturers to have produced and tested autotransformers filled with Natural Ester oil.
Technical features of the product
- Voltage: up to 800kV
- Power: up to 900MVA
