Getra adopted the Circular Economy model to reduce waste and to maximize the manufacturing, distribution and installation processes of its products.

The production and consumption model of the circular economy, adopted by the industrial Group, provides for a progressive reduction of waste and an implementation of the work phases through the efficient use of inputs, the replacement of materials and minimization of unnecessary activities.

The circular economy requires a fundamental paradigm shift and is designed to self-regenerate.

WHY INVEST IN THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The circular economy is an economy in which today's products represent the resources of tomorrow, in which the value of materials is maintained or recovered as much as possible, in which there is a minimization of waste and impacts on the environment.

Proceeding in this new economic model requires a structural and cultural change whose implementation promises to reserve numerous advantages:

THE COMMITMENT OF Getra

Getra's commitment to match with the new model proposed by the circular economy is double.

1.The Group is reviewing all the phases, from design, to production, to consumption, up to the end-of-life destination of the product.

In addition to the changes designed for the factories, Getra is also rethinking the company organization, with particular reference to energy efficiency, the guidelines for the quantification and reporting of CFP, the containment of waste production and eco design.

2. The application of the circular economic model is being implemented in all fields of interest of the holding. Getra, in fact, also pays particular attention to materials distributed by suppliers.

A new questionnaire has been implemented which is sent to each new supplier where the issues of the circular economy are addressed. The key departments of the Group evaluate the results of the questionnaire and an audit is then carried out at the supplier to verify the veracity of what has been stated and if it really is compliance with the circular economy model.

One of the Getra’s future objectives is the launch of the “Circular Economy Procurement” project, which consists of tracing the incoming and outgoing materials, knowing in depth the flows in terms of components, environmental impacts and product recyclability: all activities for which suppliers become fundamental allies.

At the end, will be introduced a new circular vendor evaluation parameter where suppliers will be evaluated over a year based on their performance in the circular economy, these performances will be evaluated based on indicators that Getra will provide to each supplier at the beginning of the year.
